Update (January 13, 2014)

First off – No, I haven’t abandoned this story (never!) or gotten writer’s block or anything like that. I simply am *swamped* with work at the moment – and it’s only getting worse.

To avoid going into too much detail about real life – I am half of a team of two that launched a new international publication last December and since then I’ve been up to my eyeballs in meetings. The reception has been amazing and everything is going extremely well – but I do have to keep spreading the word (PR, distribution, future collaboration, you name it I oversee it.)  I’m averaging about four hours of sleep (maybe?) and something like 6 meetings a day give or take – which means that when I finally come home all I want to do is not look at a computer/phone anymore.

Back to Endless Night. Half of chapter 11 is done, and I know how the entire chapter needs to flow. I just simply need to find a day (my previous weekends were sadly eaten up with more meetings – this world doesn’t believe in the concept of ‘holidays’) where I can focus.

I’m extremely grateful (and apologetic) to everyone who has been so patient, and I promise you I will complete this story – I’ve honestly invested too much time and energy not to let it play out to the end.

Right now it’s looking like I will try to have Chapter 11 out by the end of the month – I am going to try to work on it this weekend (forget weekdays for the moment) and will keep posting updates on my chatbox about my progress.

Again, many, many thanks to everyone for being so supportive!

No worries – use the writing as an alternative way to relax and hopefully that would help you squeeze in some time – it is a great piece of work and the fact that you have done all this while starting a publication is remarkable – just pace it and I am sure you will get as much pleasure out of writing as we are getting from reading it…..

All the best in your new publication 🙂 totally agree with Jas, you should treat this writing as your means to relax and get away from the hustle bustle of real life, so don’t put pressure on yourself to produce within a deadline. Sleep is also extremely important! It’s not like we (the readers) are going anywhere, so don’t worry about it, we’ll still b sticking around ^__^ cheers!

I really enjoyed reading this fan fiction. In my opinion Heartless City was one of the best Kdramas ever written, so it was refreshing to find a continuation of the story online. I look forward to your future projects and pray all is well. 🙂

I always imagined the next part would include something like Baksa swooping in in the nick of time to save soo min. But he’d get seriously/mildly injured in the process or at least injured enough to lose consciousness.

While he’s resting up soo min would try to sneak off all guilty-like only to be stopped by hyun-soo who would yell at her and remind her that the only reason why he’s in such a condition is because of her and that the least she could do would be to wait for him to come around before leaving.

The conversation would also include bits where he tells her in the 5 years since the end of the series, Baksa hasn’t had to involve himself directly in any of his dealings and the only time he does step in is when family is involved, family like himself and jin-soon. The fact that he let himself get dragged in this time, makes her family.

Anyway, that’s all I got. I really enjoyed the series and I enjoyed the fanfic as well even though it’s still incomplete. Thanks for sharing 🙂
